About Todd Paulsmeyer

Even as a child Todd was known as a problem solver. Curious about how computers work, he was already auditing courses at the local university and receiving exceptionally high marks when he was just 15 years old.

He holds a degree in Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University and worked as a computer programmer for the university.

After graduation he went to work for Hewitt Associates developing software that solved specific problems for the team. It was there that he discovered the benefits of being a consultant.

Shortly after leaving Hewitt Associates he formed his own company and began consulting for IBM and then the State of Utah. Todd soon became part owner of a start-up consultancy firm which quickly grew to twelve consultants serving a broad range of clients including the New York Transit Authority, the State of Alaska, the State of Utah and numerous others.

After the sale of the firm, Todd continued consulting independently through his own company. Over the years he has consulted with a broad range of clients including General Motors, Alaska Donor Services, Deseret Mutual Benefit Administration, Outside The Box, Inc. and Frontier Charter Schools.

Todd has consulted on both an hourly and a fixed-price basis. He has always been responsible for promoting his services, negotiating the details and ensuring his clients are 100% satisfied with his work. Consulting since 1989, his many years of experience have made him acutely aware of the varied issues that a consultant may encounter, such as tracking time for billing purposes and ensuring clients both understand and are eager to pay their invoices.

To help solve his time tracking and billing dilemma, Todd evaluated over a dozen software products and purchased Time Logger from Responsive Software. The product proved so useful and efficient, that Todd eagerly negotiated to purchase the company when he learned that the original owner was retiring. He now manages Responsive Software with the help of consultants that he hires and is continually upgrading the Time Logger software using his software development skills.
